Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that allows veterinarians to visualize and biopsy (obtaining samples of tissue for testing) your pet’s internal organs without the need for invasive surgery. It can, for example, allow retrieval of an accidentally swallowed item without the need for surgery.

Endoscopy is often used to obtain a diagnosis for problems in difficult- to- access locations (ie. nose, lungs, bladder etc.). It is popular a procedure owing to it’s low invasiveness and rapid recovery. All patients of Fonthill Animal Hospital have access to full endoscopy services through our affiliate Morgan Animal Hospital in Niagara Falls.
